Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert

Every year, Mom & I both enter the drawing for tickets to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert. Not everyone who enters gets tickets, so we both request four. Almost every year, one of us has been selected to receive four tickets. It was my turn this year.

Friday, December 16, Rara, Papa, Ryan and I went to the concert. It was beautiful, as always.

The guests this year were Jane Seymour (who narrated “Good King Wenceslas” and other stories), and Nathan Gunn, who has an amazing voice.
Ryan and I have been talking a lot lately about how many people watch out for us and take care of us. In turn, it is our responsibility to serve others whenever we have the opportunity. Even though we’ve had a rough time financially lately, with some unexpected expenses, we went ahead with our plans to do the “12 Days of Christmas” for a family. As the choir performed the entire song of “Good King Wenceslas” (complete with snow falling right in the Conference Center), I was touched by these words. I even printed them and put them in our living room so we can continue to remember:

Therefore, Christians, all be sure
Wealth or rank possessing
Ye who now will bless the poor
Shall yourselves find blessing.
