We bought some fireworks and took some of them to Rara & Papa’s house to do after dinner. The boys across the street (the family that we do carpool with) spotted Ryan & came over to join us.
The boys LOVED lighting and watching all of the fireworks. They were SO disappointed when the fireworks were gone! In typical boy fashion, they built a miniature bonfire with the matches and cardboard shells of the fireworks. Once the matches and cardboard had burned, they started gathering dry grass, pinecones, and whatever else they could find.
Yes, we watched them. Yes, we let them. We had a bucket of water nearby. :)
When we got home, a family from down the street (a girl close to Ryan's age along with her parents) called to see if they could bring some fireworks up to do with us. Sure! As we were doing them, another family from a couple of doors down (three boys around Ryan's age) heard them and came up. We had a great time - kids (4 boys, 1 girl) lighting fireworks and parents chatting on the driveway. It was a fun evening!
